We are finally ‘over the bar’. I am absolutely delighted to announce the first issue of the journal – Advances in Skeletal Muscle Function Assessment (ASMFA). It has been about a year since the first brick was laid in Vienna with the members of the International Society of Tensiomyography (ISOT) coming together to finalize the concept, structure, intent and direction for the journal.

‘Two down and a lot to go’. The second issue wraps-up the first volume of the journal. It has been a tremendously rewarding year for the ASMFA editorial team and we are only getting better with time. New plans and partnerships are being worked out for an aggressive growth of the journal and to provide the authors with greater scholarly incentives to publish in the journal.
